Dead End Friends - Elephant in the room

I was approached by Dead End Friends, a comedy sketch group, to recreate their previous short skit as a vibrant 2D animation. They wanted to tap into the growing popularity of animated content on platforms like YouTube and Instagram, while keeping their channel active despite not producing new live-action videos. With my background in entertaining cartoon-style 2D animation and their playful style, this project was a dream come true.We had a shared vision from the start, and the collaboration went smoothly. Using pencil drawings, story boarding, innovative character rigging techniques, and a combination of 2D and 3D animation software, I brought their 5-minute animation to life. The sleek yet playful 2D cel-shaded style added consistency to the entire piece.Working closely with Dead End Friends, we created a fun, entertaining, and silly animation that exceeded their expectations. This project required extensive planning and hard work, but the end result made us extremely proud as a team. In fact, there are even discussions of future collaborations.
